remove the adsense from the top of each post for starters, then provide us with some real value. Free Reports, Video Instruction, Industry News, Case Studies, Tutorials, all ok, as long as they actually teach us something helpful, not just the same old stuff over and over. There are 1 or 2 internet marketers that I respect, they have provided so much value in the past (for free) that now when they recommend something or have something to sell, I just buy it on sight, I don’t even read the sales letter, they built my trust already with their info.

    Hi Mark,

I think your blog is great, i would like to see you posting some program’s for newbies , simple home based businesses that new internet marketer’s can join and work on, needing to come back to your blog for training and tips etc…maybe some type of forum, or nowadays you can set up your own radio show on your blog……check yuwie radio….on yuwie.com

You have good information here i like it..

    Regards
    Carmel.

  3. Irwan says:

I think the background and appearance need some improvement that can give a refreshing mood to the visitor. Also need some tweak for the layout. And maybe some free giveaway or contest of the month to attract more visitor.

  4. Peter says:

I dont like the google adwords at the top there,I would come here to see what is new or learn something and do not wish to get bombarded with adverts the minute I arrived.

  5. Theo Baskind says:

my name in your blogroll, then this site would be complete! J/K

I know as an Internet Marketer myself, many of my students like more of the “How-To” products, but it seems you have everything covered my ninja!

  6. Since I’m just in the Affiliate Biz the Video instructions and Industry News would probabley be good.

  7. Mark Flavin says:

The post’s only been up a few minutes so far & a good few comments already. A few don’t like the adsene at the top of the post. So I will look into scrapping them or perhaps replacing them with something else.

    Keep the suggestions coming.

    Hi Mark:
Well, as a person who had a new website, where to advertise for cheap would be nice. But mostly where to advertise where it gets noticed and does the most good to get seen.

  9. I don’t know if this is listed under one of the categories but I would like to see information on swapping links, i.e. how many links before it’s considered a link farm. 3-way links – I’ve read for each one of these type links, it’s a count against your incoming links.
Another thing that would be nice is a chart comparing the top 3 Search engines as far as optimization goes.

  10. Brandon says:

    Good day,

I’ve been at this almost 2 years now and filtered through all the different ways of making this internet marketing monster work for me. All in all the basics remain the same. Articles, original content, back links, etc… still work. But it’s the new rule changes that would benefit me the most. For example, I’m still reading about loop holes in Craigs list that they plugged long ago. Google used to love Squidoo, then it didn’t, now it does again (apparently), now you can put Adsense on your capture pages ???. So I guess I would have to vote for a ‘Readers Digest’ version of recent policy changes. Maybe catch wind of the next Google slap before it makes people start all over again.

  11. Regina says:

    Hi Mark
I am at the moment changing my business. I will get back to you later when I get my new website. I would like to know where to place advertisements otherwise it looks good to me.

  12. Wayne says:

Slick opening page, quality at its best with all the Google adsense to great your visitors. It sucks man!!!!
What is needed in a Blog is articles to educate the newbie on what programs are bogus. Which ones that are only selling you a promise of wealth, and which have already saturated the internet like polution in a dirty river. The person who has the courage to indeed call a spade a spade and helps to clean up the net, will have dividends paid back to him by his paying forward in the warnings that a blog could give. He will enlist true followers as they will indeed trust what you have to say.
But in all sincerity, drop the adsense to another location where it does not command the theme of your blog site.

    Wayne

  13. Anatoli says:

    Hi Mark.
Your blog are good as it is, from beginners up to medium level marketers. Good discussion about niche finder, best selling products, will attract lots of people.
    Thanks.

I’m here ofr 1st time.. TQ because invite to give comment. 1st my impression about this blog is…ok, good. may be i will came here again.

    TQ.. :)

  15. Marc says:

There are way too many categories – There are 4 variations of ‘duvet dollar’ and 11 of ‘SEO’. I think this is just untidy and inconsistent. The content is great though and the layout otherwise good.

  16. Ray Patrick says:

I just got your email Mark lol, looks like we all did :-) mate, lol so you need to know what we need you need we need you need lol ….I’m drinking a pint of the black stuff here so bare with me lol

I think your blog, it’s all cool mate what you got here, a few minor ( Ad-just-ments ) wouldn’t go a miss, but I see that , that has already been mentioned :-)

    1) change the clinical Dr’s waiting room /dentist wall paper to anything but this kind if blue and white, it really doesn’t match your ” marketing/work ethic style ”.
Blue is a cool colour but it’s a money colour and is more suited for financial related sites, your blog is here to help us make money in the online marketing world not in the banking or Forex Trading world :-) and not only that, blue and white reminds me of hospitals lol … I get this funny smell sensation lol but I think that’s just my imagination lol

    I would also give the ” M ”
in your logo a bit more ” ooommff!! or more weight over the other letters or lessen the size of the other three ” a r k ”, as it looks like those 3 letters ” a r k ” are eating the most important letter ” M ”
The letter M in this case should be the main and most powerful letter as it carries the symbol of the all powerful MARK! lol
…I work in a job that pays me to have an eye for detail lol…..some might say such things are not important but then the way I see it if you don’t define what you are in all aspects of your work it reflects greatly on how your company is perceived even in a minor visual detail in the logo.

I personally would trust Mark with any amount of money as I did buy his Traffic Transformer and I think Mark under-sells himself, but that is not my business.
I have been on the net for 8 years and I have seen so many good thinking marketers and ideas and products come and go and let me tell you, the only ones that remain are those that have an open and ” give more expect less ” business philosophy, they are the ones that make the real money online because they ” give more, expect less ”, Mark as we all know has this too, and it is great to see, especially where there are so many so called marketers out there screwing people for the crap they are selling.

Stay safe Mark, you’re a winner mate, only getting better.

    Ray Patrick

  17. Stephanie says:

I like the over all layout. Very clean and easy to read. Howver, I would like to see more step by step instruction on site promotion and how to kee the visitors comming back.

    Keep it up.

  18. Mark Flavin says:

    Adsense is now GONE!!

  19. James says:

Interesting you ask what people want you to put up to help us out and people complain about your layout and trying to generate income from google adsense. Personally I think you have the right to generate the extra income, but the location is important – don’t shove it in visitors faces. Since it is gone now no real deal there.
What I would like to see is detailed quality traffic generation including the sources you use. List building – what you use to capture and how you link it to your auto-responder and which ones you like and why. Case studies, reviews and tutorials where we can interact with you and each other. A team situation works very well and seems to be what is needed.
Too much to ask for really :-)
    Thanks

  20. cris says:

i need ways in which to get some serious traffic to my site and how not to fall for all those gimmicks out there like those people who promise you loads of traffic and u get nothing from it.

  21. William says:

I like your blog look but when I was reading the posts I was distracted by all the other links. 3-4 links to the same things didn’t help. Maybe it’just me.
    Best Wishes.

  22. Stacey says:

Mark, I agree with alot of what has already been mentioned. The ones that stood out to me are: “What is needed in a Blog is articles to educate the newbie on which programs are bogus. Which ones are only selling you a promise of wealth, and which have already saturated the internet like polution in a dirty river. The person who has the courage to indeed call a spade a spade and helps to clean up the net, will have dividends paid back to him by his paying forward in the warnings that a blog could give. He will enlist true followers as they will indeed trust what you have to say”, “detailed quality traffic generation” and “information on swapping links”.
Thanks for all that you do for us. I’m sure that we ALL appreciate it.
    Stacey

  23. Robert says:

I think your site is great.
    Glad to see Adsense gone.
Visit my site to see an idea to replace it with.

  24. Larry says:

I’m rather new so all I can say is keep up the good work

  25. Larry says:

    Hi Mark:

As a newbie affiliate marketer, I find it really very difficult to get targeted visitors to my sight. Myself and probably thousands of us need help in ways to get traffic to our sites and keep visitors coming back. I know there are lots of “so-called-sytems” out there but 99.9% aren’t worth a hoot! I find ebooks work best for me rather than videos and audio media.
Keep up the great blog! Thanks.

  26. Alan Cox says:

    Mark

Video Tutorials on the basics for ur newbie visitors is always good.
For example when you buy plr stuff you get all these files and folder, but theres never any step by step help on what to do with them…stuff like that

    Alan

  27. Jim says:

Thank you for the invite to look, Mark. As one frequently in the soap aisle of supermarkets, the danger is too much choice. Better to take a subject and exhaust it. Focus is everything!

Small details such as format and presentations are tough to make suitable to all, as you can read.

As for ads and revenue, that drives the motivation to produce…that they might be topical to the subject matter may make the difference. Hence buried in the textual material is good and pertinent…or should be.

Regards and compliments for your efforts!!!!

  28. hi

information is good free stuff and information is good dont get much time really google alternatives would be good. your blog is good

  29. Tray says:

I would definetly like to see more information about driving traffic to my website.

  30. Karol says:

It all looks good to me but “what do I know.” I just got my website going 3 months ago and definitelly need traffic! I am really a newbie and read everything I can get my hands on, but then it seems as though everybody just has their own theories and philosophies and it is really hard on knowing who you can trust. Thanks for inviting me to check it out, and I probably will be back just to check out the information.

  31. Nina-mae says:

    Hi Mark;

First thanks for all the info. in the emails. Really appreciate it.

1.) I have downloaded some very good/interesting info. from other marketers, but I seem to have trouble opening or accessing things like pages with a turned down Right/Top corner I.E.

    (A) Script files (the ones with the big letter “S” on them.
    (B) Files with A SQUARE with what looks like tiny little squares inside a box.

Do you right click or double click or?

    KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

  32. bydpb says:

The three column approach is much harder to read. it is too busy for older eyes.

  33. Phil Davis says:

Your blog is just one big mess of offers and links. There are enough products for sale here that, if I had enough money, you could be really, really rich. Yes, you have useful content and some useful lessons here but I’m hard pressed to sort it all out. You have 163 categories, ummm, KEYWORDS for the search engine’s benefit no doubt and a huge tag cloud, does anyone use those?. I’ve browsed a lot of blogs and never have seen 163 categories or that many tags. Some of them actually have useful info but many seem to exist as search engine fodder. In 40 hours I couldn’t sort through it all let alone make use of it. You have no focus, you are a jack of all trades and a master of nonet? Unfortunately you have fallen victim to Moores Law. If some is good more is better. Less is often better. I have been to your blog before and I can’t come back, it is too busy, overwhelming and frankly too commercial. I want and need insightful posts, things that can move me in the correct direction, help me refine my and improve my business. Focus man, focus. Teach us what you know and do best and leave the rst to – the rest…

  34. John says:

    Hello Mark,
I’d like to dish out a great big “Thanks” for all the fantastic info you send out. As a newbie to IM I can use all the help I can get. =o\
And so..as a newbie, I really don’t have any direction to give you. Compared to my blog, this looks like the TajMahal.
All the Best to you in all your endeavers.

  35. This is very interesting.

I’ve had my blog up for about 3 years or so and have never had any members or readers complain to me about the Adsense ads that they first see when they come in.

Not one. Well… one was confused as to whether I endorsed those.. so I had to set him straight. But for the most part? Folks do not complain and like my content, reviews, and for beeing a straigh shooter type of guy.

So.. I would say if you are a straight shooter type of guy and not worry about what folks think of you? Just tell it like it is (as you see it?) then you should have no trouble with placing Adsense ads wherever you like.

Folks will ignore them if they wish. And go right to your content. At least that is how it has been working for me.

But… from reading all the feedback here? I myselr am considering removing the Adsense Ads from the top and placing them on the right and left sides of my blog.

    And you?

    Hi Mark,

Please accept my compliment that I think your lblog is fine. The internet is about sharing information and you have something that will be of interest for a lot of people.

As time goes by you can make changes. The most important thing is knowing how to give instructions in a simplified manner so the majority of your readers will grasp what you are explaining.

Getting readers to share somwe tips and finding new information also helps to make a blog “hot”.

You have done a good job and what I appreciate most is the fact that you want to help others.
    Thanks!

  37. venkat says:

HI MarkI I am a newbie to the internet business and what I find is that many tools and product pushers are using too much circumlocution and after pages of verbose they say this product costs you $20 to 49.95 . When you place the order the hi Pressure salesman tells you to consider other product also to enhance your earnings. This is really too much to bear with. After spending $200 to $ 300 on those sure shot products the newbie is no better than at the beginning. This blog will definetely help the beginners.

  38. csk says:

More industry news, more RSS feed options, Tools section is too large.I like the layout: simple and nice, good colors, easy to the eye.
When you have long posts and comments lists like this here, toward the middle and end there is barely anything on the site: put somthing on the right side, like more content, advertising, tools, recommendations, or anything, but please don’t leave it so empty.
The categories list: make it shorter, and have more general categories instead. The tag cloud is unorganized.
Besides the above recommendations I really love your blog, good job one it!

  39. Karen says:

    Hi Mark,

I’m only looking for a traffic to my online store. But I don’t want to keep coming back to your blog, it takes too much of my time.

  40. peggy jayne says:

My very favorite blog, which I visit first thing every day, is John Chow dot com. He gives a lot of free info on how to make money on your blog. He actually makes about $20,000 a month on John Chow dot com, and he tells you exactly how to do it. But more than that, he tells about his daily life and since he really enjoys life, it’s a great read. He has a ton of folks, like me, who read his blog every day, for the fun and profit they derive from it. He’s a good model. P.S. I don’t like this shade of blue. For some reason, I find it very unsettling. Thanks for the freebies. They are very good and very helpful.

  42. Jeff says:

    Mark,
Seems like lots of folks need ideas for traffic- agreed- I need more. Also how do you make them sign and not just click through? Lots of looks and very little signups.
    Thanks for all.

  43. Ray Patrick says:

”Also how do you make them sign and not just click through? Lots of looks and very little signups.”

I just seen what Jeff said and I couldn’t resist to say something :
If you have ” targeted traffic ” you will guarantee a sign up providing you offer a free download but that download must be just as targeted in nature in subject matter just as the person signing up, if you have many click thru’s and few sign ups, it’s because you are not channeling targeted traffic.
If you go to visit a website about your fave sports there is no way in hell you would click thru without signing up for the freebie…. thats the difference between tight knitted targeted traffic channeling and broad loose un-chanelling targeted traffic.

You would have to be getting either very cross broad traffic, or you are not providing a strong enough free incentive for the sign up.

    :-) Ray Patrick

  48. Hi Mark, Your material is excellent. Thats your free stuff! Made my first sale largely as a result of following your simple steps to generate some traffic and establish a basic form of web presence (SEO). Your free blogging course is great, also the article on Squidoo.I see a number of comments regarding layout etc and I’m sure some experienced people may be able to add some helpful tips on style etc for this blog. For me at this time I’m just hungry for knowledge, and one thing I do know for sure is that you deliver the goods that lead to sales!! So take on board any useful suggestions and keep feeding the hungry crowd.
