Mastering Success: What You Most Need To Know When Things Go Wrong.
By Trevor Emdon.
Remember those sales pages that tell you that all the other sales pages didn’t tell you THE secret (to whatever)?
You know the ones I mean - Adwords works if you do THIS; traffic will flood your site if you do THAT … So you try ‘em all - and you still get zip.
Then you get this problem: in your head you start to wonder, is it them or is it me?
Well, hey it must be you, because just check out those testimonials … if THEY can make it work …! You getting the picture?
Now you’re really in the soup, because if you believe that you are the cause of your failure, or at least that you didn’t try hard enough, then you have nothing left to fight with, do you?
Look deeper into that soup, my friend, because in the murky bottom of that cauldron lies a diamond so bright that you should never, ever be struck down by “failure fever” ever again!
Let me enlighten you as to what it looks like, this brilliant diamond. The path to enlightenment is just a couple of steps away. Follow me….
The key is in seeing that you believe in the other guy, (sales pitch), but not yourself. All those sales pitches are not untruths. (Some of them are a bit hyped, for sure, but that’s the name of the game. Hype is still true.) The testimonials are true too.
But that doesn’t make those folks “better” or “more successful” than you - unless you believe it does!
If you want a successful business on line or off, there’s one skill above all others you must master. That is the skill of making yourself feel good even when things look bad.
Success will come - if you believe at your core that you are a successful person. If you live in doubt, anxiety and have a “What me? Who are you kidding?” attitude then you’re not going to make it. (Sorry to be blunt, but you need to know).
A person who believes they are successful will look at an undesirable result and ask themselves, “What can I change to make this better?” Or maybe, “What can I do different?”
But they will never, ever ask “Why is it always me?” Or “How come I have all the bad luck?” They won’t even ask, “What did I do wrong?” because if you come from a place of confidence, (make sure you know the difference between confidence and arrogance too!), you cannot do anything “wrong.” And instinctively, you’ll try something new.
Action will turn into results, and ultimately success. Inaction, paralysis and fear (that you can’t make it or you’re not good enough), will kill your business - and your spirit.
And that would be a tragedy.
Now go forth and become a master of YOUR success!
