I came across a fantastic youtube video yesterday which shows you how to create viral videos & as you know viral videos are a great way to get free traffic. Here’s a look at the video:
How To Create Viral Videos
(Not too adult in nature as the thumbnail may suggest, but you guessed it, that is one of the ways to get your videos watched is: “Sexy thumbnails!”)
Here are some examples of some of the most successful viral videos designed to build a brand or move some product.
Ford
(If you like cats you may not want to watch this one, it’s a little shocking!)
John West Salmon
Nike
Mentos
As you can see some these ads have been created for a few hundred bucks and others probably closer to the millions!! The thing is budget isn’t that big a deal with viral ads. All you need is a hook that makes people want to send the videos on to their friends, some creativity & usually but not always some comedy.
Hope you get some ideas from the videos above (Or at least a good laugh!), be sure to leave your comments below.

Kia ora,
Funnily enough I’ve been using a couple youtube vids over the last few months just for the heck of it when posting my adverts just to give readers a break & a bit of entertainment & from the counter they get plenty of hits

any how-to’s on video editing you can suggest??
the john west salmon video is the funniest viral video i’ve ever seen… i love the little dance!
The middle frame thing is not the rule of thumb now. Sometimes it looks at about a fourth of a way through the video and on occasion it takes a frame from the second after the middle frame.
Brilliant! Another classic example is EA Sport’s ‘amateur’ film response to catching an in game bug.
Thanks for the great info. I don’t have time to watch all of the video’s tonight but I am bookmarking and I will be back to watch them all and see what I can do to come up with some viral video’s of my own :0)
