How To Accept Payments Online

One of the most daunting task for anyone wanting to sell products online is to figure how to to accept payments & accept credit cards online.

If feasible one of the easiest solutions is to use a retailer such as Ebay who will handle all the transactions for you.

But if you want or need to handle the payments yourself here are 3 easy ways to start accepting payments online.

1. Paypal

Paypal acts almost like an online bank account. You can use paypal to send & receive payments but their are also lots of merchant tools inside paypal as well. Such as being able to create your own “Buy Now” & “Add To Cart” buttons & when a purchase is placed through these buttons on your site the money is sent directly to your paypal account. Which you can them send to your own back account if you wish.

2. Clickbank

Clickbank is a wonderful way to accept payments online for any info product you may be selling. Clickbank will take the payment for you & either wire the money to your account or send you a cheque every two weeks with all the money from your sales. The wonderful thing about clickbank is that their i no need for you to set up a seperate affiliate program for you product as clickbank has an entire affiliate system built into their system.

3. Monsterpay

Monsterpay is a merchant I only heard of recently but one of the advantages of Monsterpay is that they accept payments & vendors from almost any country where as clikbank & paypal have issues with certain regions.

So there you have three easy ways to started accepting payments online on your website or blog.

    Hi Mark,

    Great post subject, i think this is an issue well worth mentioning, as so many people are getting scammed on the internet through payment transactions1

    You really do need to secure your online outgoings and incomings, i use both Clickbank and Paypal for the sales of my product and feel safe knowing i am in good hands!

    I am not happy with the charges from Clickbank for my affiliate sales, I more prefer paypal but not sure if one can use paypal to manage the affiliate payment. Advice welcome.

    Yes you can integrate a shopping cart with paypal & it will create mass payment files for your affiliate sales which you can just upload to paypal & send payments to your affiliates. There are many different shopping carts which do this but one I know a lot of people use is iDev http://www.idevdirect.com

    Just drop their support team an email to make sure that what they deliver will fit your needs.
