RSS feeds are great because they update quickly without performing manual work.

What makes them more effective is that whenever the search engines visit your blog, they crawl on the feeds immediately and treat them as new and unique content. Google for one loves new content, and we don’t want to miss the opportunity of being crawled and indexed. This should be on top of our overall SEM strategy.

Hi Mark,

This is an interesting post. I have just starting using RSS feeds and have a page on my website especially for this. This page is called writers updates and it contains the top news stories on freelance writing. It refreshes every 6 hours which is great and gives my visitors a chance to find out what is going on in the writing world.

I think that RSS feeds are great and if you can put them on your blog or website they are sure to bring more traffic and more loyal readers.
