One way to monetize your wordpress blog is to use banner ads & promote affiliate programs. No matter what niche you are in, between commission junction, linkshare & clickbank you will find a product related to your niche to promote. (Unless you’re in some crazy ass niche like Halloween costumes for dogs…. oh really? They sell those!!)
But one of the biggest issues with serving banner ads on your blog is having to go into the theme & start editing the HTML to add banners into your posts, in the header, in the footer or in the sidebar & after doing all that you’ll need some tracking software to track how many clicks your banners are getting to see if they are converting well.
Enter the Max Banner Ads Plugin. You can use the plugin to automatically add your banners into your sidebar, into your posts & at the top or bottom of your posts. You just enter the location of your banner & the link you want to send people to when they click it & you’re done! The plugin will add the banner to your blog.
