Motivation Means Success

Posted by Trevor Emdon

Did you see the Beijing Olympics? Rarely are we privileged to witness such triumph and human spirit at its absolute best.

How did all those athletes get - and stay - motivated, especially the ones that won gold medals?

Was it the thought of the gold medal itself that kept them running, jumping, swimming or facing whatever feat of endurance that will write them into the history books?

Well, perhaps. But we know that what we saw them do in Beijing was the end of very, very long journeys for those incredibly motivated men and women.

Olympics

Along the way, most of them will have faced failures, challenges such as injuries or changes in their personal lives, and there will for many of them I am sure, have been times when they lost heart and just believed they could not succeed.

We all know this. And most of us don’t even aspire to be Olympic athletes. But we each do have our dreams - for our businesses, our families, our relationships and ourselves.

Who wants to write a novel? Who’d like to perform their own song or play? Who wants to be a millionaire?

The journeys to dreams are rarely straightforward or without challenge. If they were, they’d hardly be worth having. The glory of an Olympic gold medal is precisely because it’s extraordinarily difficult to earn one. If they were handed out like candy at a kids birthday party, no one would have the slightest interest in a gold medal or gold medallist!

However, the biggest challenge isn’t with the feat of endurance - it’s with your own mind. You have to believe that you can do whatever it is, and in those moments when doubt creeps in, at those dark times when you lose heart, you have to know how to get back on track - fast!

Motivation

Your coach, if you have one, can be a great help. Family and friends will rally round to support you. But ultimately it’s down to you. If you keep shaking your head saying, “I can’t do it. I can’t, I can’t,” eventually even your coach will leave you behind - and they’ll find someone else who believes they can!

Masters of Success know this. They know how to recognise the signs and symptoms of self doubt. More than that, they know how re-ignite the flame of desire for the goal, and fan that flame into a fervour that drives them - with passion - to keep going. That flame eventually becomes their personal blaze of glory.

Stay motivated. It sounds simple, but unless you know how to follow that instruction, it’s as daft as saying to someone who’s stressed, “Try to relax.” (What do you think they’ve been doing?)

Success comes from within. Motivation is a major component of any kind of success.

Going for gold?

See you at the top!

How Worrying Will Keep You Poor, (& Stopping Can Make You Rich!)

Posted by Trevor Emdon

“Worry is the belief that there’s nothing you can do to make any
effective difference.”
- Trevor Emdon

I’ve never seen my cat worry. When she wants something she asks - and
she is more demure than Naomi Campbell on a hot night - and a whole lot more persistent. But if, for some reason, she can’t get her way there and then she simply curls up and has a nap.

Some instinctive wisdom she has tells her that things will sort themselves out. And they always do.

My cat has wisdom we could all learn from.

There’s enough going on in the world to keep us all fretting for a lifetime. Global warming, the credit crunch, obesity, terror attacks…Shall we all get together and have a big worry party?

Fear and negativity, both components of worry, paralyse you. They make you feel the problem is too big. They make you feel powerless and impotent. And what’s more, it keeps you poor!

How can it do that? How can worrying keep cash out of your bank account?

Apart from the fact that worry makes you feel bad, it will not solve your money problems either.

Okay, let’s get to the core of this. You feel bad because you’ve not got as much money as you’d like. Worry is itself a bad feeling, and you indulge in it because of a situation that in itself makes you feel bad!

Now I’ve given you a big hint. The real problem isn’t your cash situation - it’s how you feel about it! Therefore the solution you’re looking for is a better feeling! That’s great news, because you can achieve that instantly.

Try … thinking of the friend who makes you laugh the most … recalling a sexy moment …. remembering a triumphant moment, a loving moment …

You have the power to change the way you feel - instantly!

It doesn’t solve the problem?

Let’s look again. Worry is the belief that there’s nothing you can do to make any effective difference. If you’re short of cash, you’re going to stay right there if you hold onto that belief!

But you’ve just demonstrated to yourself that you are incredibly resourceful. You can change what you focus on and hence how you feel - in a moment.

You can come up with twenty ideas of how to generate more money for yourself in ten minutes if you choose to believe that you’re creative. (Think of a moment when you were). Or if you have a core belief that things always work out. (Think of a time when they unexpectedly did!)

The antidote to worry, therefore, is to hold a belief that there’s always a solution; things always work out.

I refer you once more to my cat if you’re short of a role model.

I’ve included full instructions on how to stop worrying in, “Stop Worrying And Grow Rich” one of 9 Success Mastery ebooks included in Master Success Secrets pack - it’s part of it.

Write Articles, Build Links And Get Targeted Web Site Traffic

Posted by Mark Flavin

You can get targeted web site traffic and make your website successful by building links to your site. One way to do this is by article writing.

Writing Good Quality Articles To Get Targeted Web Site Traffic

It is obvious that good quality articles get read more often. By submitting articles to article directories, however, you face the possible risk of your links being filtered out by the search engines, especially if your article is not so great. But a good quality article, submitted especially to article sites can go a long way in getting your website free targeted web site traffic. You can aim for two things here – one is to get back links out of the sites which republish your article with your resource box and the other is find good websites that will reproduce your article.

Once you submit a good article making sure you’ve got your resource box in place with the relevant keywords, you will be found by other webmasters who will want to republish your article in their newsletters and send them out. Through this, you will experience a rush of free targeted web site traffic since the webmaster’s recipients will click your link provided in the resource box of your article. This way, you get linked to good quality sites and rise in search engine rankings as well. What if the search engines filter out your link? You will still continue to have the links where your content is published.

Now lets see, you’ve got targeted web site traffic. Go a step further and contact the webmasters who republish your articles. They will probably be interested in doing it on a regular basis. By retaining your active links along with the articles on their sites, you will ensure getting targeted web site traffic when the people who click those links arrive at your website. This is a very effective way of building links to your websites. Continue to produce good quality content that is unique and relevant to your website and it will be a great long term method that will serve you consistently.

You can also look at various other sources to obtain web site traffic through your articles – namely article directories, link exchanges with sites that relate to yours, listings in site directories, etc. The main thing here is to submit excellent quality articles.
