There are a few things I live by when it comes to online marketing. One is the A.B.B system & the other is beingĀ relevant.
Whether you’re talking to your twitter followers, your facebook fans, your blog subscribers or your email subscribers there is one think you have to be or they will STOP listening to you, and that one thing you must be isĀ RELEVANT.
Put yourself in your subscribers shoes & ask if the messages you are sending them are relevant. The more relevant you are the more your subscribers will interact & take action & subsequently the more you will profit.
So the next time you send a tweet or facebook update, write a blog post or email message to your subscribers ask yourself are you being relevant because there is no greater insult then being irrelevant & no easier way to have fans & subscribers stop listening to you then sending them information & content they don’t want.

Very good point. I always try to keep my posts and blogs relevant to those who are out of work. I think it helps that I am too. I can easily relate. If it’s relevant to me chances are it’s going to be relevant to them!

Great tip Mark, thanks for sharing it.
I am guilty of not always being relevant, because I make the mistake of assuming because something is relevant to me, it will be relevant to everyone else.
Figuring out what your list actually wants and needs can be a tough job at times, sometimes I feel like it’s hit and miss!

Hey Mark,
Hope you are well and things are great in beautiful Cork, once again my friend your information as hit the ‘bullseye on the head, you know people spout on about relevance is the motherlode factor to success on Google, which it is!
but…
As you have so rightly pointed out that applies to ALL other internet applications when it comes to driving traffic to your websites and giving ‘value’ to your subscribers readers and followers, PERIOD!
Love youe content as per visit!
Take Mark and do keep sending the diamond information later….Ed.
it’s hard than it looks to be relevant
I used to publish posts on my MMO blog that had absolutely nothing to do with making money. But now I have several blogs so I don’t anger people who come to my blog looking for ways to make money and find posts about my views on education or music.
i agree. We should be relevant always. For many thing. Not only for make money, but others issue.
