5 Online Marketing Tools & Services You Can’t Live Without

Having been in the online marketing industry for about 5 years now there are a number of tools I simply cannot live without. These tools have made my life easier, increased my businesses profits & productivity & automated a lot of work leaving more time for me to enjoy life and I’m sure they can do the same for you.

So Here Are 5 Online Marketing Tools You Wont Be Able To Live Without (And I Cant Live Without Right Now)

1. AweberAweber is the no1 choice for businesses when it comes to email management and with good reason too. They have the highest deliverability rates & great testing & tracking tools & it’s really easy to use. As far as I’m concerned they are the only choice when it comes to email management.

2. Virtual Smart AgentVirtual Smart Agent is an awesome little tool that can sky rocket your conversion rates. It grabs a visitors attention as they are about to leave your site without making a purchase and “makes them an offer they can’t refuse!” If you want to increase your sales use Virtual Smart Agent – It works.

3. Hostgator – I have raved on about how great Hostgator are before but I may as well again. Great price, amazing customer service & all the tools you need from a host. If you’re thinking of getting hosting or moving to a new host make it hostgator. There is no greater testimonial I can give them but the fact that this blog is hosted using Hostgator

4. WordPress – The blog you’re ready now is built on wordpress using the Socrates theme. WordPress is my favourite blogging platform as it’s a fast and easy way to deliver new content to readers, Google loves it which make it nice n easy to get great rankings & with a huge developer community great plugins are being created which extend its functionality everyday.

5. ClickbankClickbank make accepting payments online & running an affiliate program so easy it’s great. Whether you’re starting out online or have been running a business for years, clickbanks great customer service & ease of use make them my number 1 choice for accepting payments & running affiliate programs.

So there you have my 5 online marketing tools you can’t live without. Let me know what you think. Can you live without these tools & services? Think something else should be in the list? Leave your comments.

Hey Mark, I have all of them except the virtual sales assistant but once I have a new product sorted I will give it a test run, always willing to try any methods that increase sales, Sally :)

  2. 1) Aweber

Got to disagree here. I’ve tried every autoresponder that there is, but although Aweber is undoubtably as good as any of them, I cannot find one that offers a good marketing plan at a resonable, preferably one-time cost. The argument that any autoresponder should be paying for itself from the followups sent to subscribers only works when you have a decent list. When you haven’t its a massive drain on resources each month.

    2) Virtual Smart Agent

No opinion as I’ve never owned one.

    3) Hostgator

    100% Agree

    4) WordPress

    100% Agree

    5) ClickBank

Agree that ClickBank is definately required due to the vast numbers of products that are available, but I also think that the new generation of instant pay marketplaces have an important role to play especially as they grow in size.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

    Hi Phil,

The reason you can’t get an online autoresponder at a one time cost is because the autoresponder company stores all of the subscriber details on there own servers. So they have to charge a recurring fee for this service.

Of course if you are willing to host the autoresponder on your own servers then you can just pay a one time fee. I tried this a few years ago using auto responder plus & while it’s a good piece of software I’ve found that using Aweber is just much easier & gave me a lot more tools for testing.

    Thanks for your comments Phil.

    Hi Sally,

It’s deffo worth some time testing out Virtual Smart Agent once you have a product up. It actually has a lot more uses then just converting more visitors to customers but that’s certainly my favourite use for it!

Virtual agent success depends on what kind of products you are selling,
    thanks anyway for the tips.
    worth reconsidering them

  6. Great tips as usual

I am new to the internet marketing and ı find your advice very valuable .Thanks

  8. Hi Mark,

I agree with everything except for 2 of them. The cost of aweber is a bit much, unless it’s just my machine, every time I click on an aweber link it takes an age to download, that does not impress. My preferred autoresponder is eresponder pro which gives 100% deliverability on bulk email, it’s part of my hosting package and I can have up to at least a 10,000 list before they charge.

Hostgator is probably the best if you just want hosting but let’s face it, there are a lot more tools that you need to be successful and buying them one by one is a waste of money, so for me it has to be GVO which is probably the most advanced and comprehensive package on the net.

    Have fun,

    Mike

    Basic tools is right!

You have to own a piece of the internet real estate. Without it your at the mercy of others. I have been using hostgator & wordpress for over 2 years now without a hitch.

There is nothing like being in control of your own blog. Thanks for another great tip….
